MicroMIR

publishing company

MicroMIR e.U. specializes in academic publishing. The main project of the company – the electronic scientific open access journal Microbiology Independent Research Journal (MIR Journal) that is hosted on the ScienceOpen platform (Germany/USA) https://www.scienceopen.com/collection/MIR_Journal

Publishing policy

MicroMIR e.U. specializes in the publication of peer-reviewed articles highlighting important discoveries in all aspects of microbiology. Special attention is paid to the nature of new microorganisms and their pathogenesis, genetic diversity and evolution, and infectious diseases, as well as to the development and evaluation of vaccines and new antiviral and antimicrobial agents.

The objective of MicroMIR e.U. is to combine new publishing technologies with the highest editorial standards declared by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). More information can be found here: www.icmje.org

MIR Journal

The MIR Journal is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research in virology, bacteriology, and mycology. It serves as a valuable resource for academic researchers and professionals in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.

We are proud to offer completely free publication to all authors, ensuring that groundbreaking research remains accessible and unrestricted by financial barriers.

The MIR Journal is hosted on the ScienceOpen platform (Germany/USA) and indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and 24 major scientific databases, including Chemical Abstracts, EBSCO, Google Scholar, CrossRef, Ulrichsweb, Scilit, OpenAIRE, BASE, CORE, and OpenAlex.

The scope of the Journal

The MIR Journal covers a broad spectrum of topics, including, but not limited to:

  • Theoretical and applied aspects of vaccine development
  • Vaccines targeting emerging viral threats
  • Mechanisms of viral attenuation
  • Development of viral vector-based and universal vaccines (e.g., against influenza)
  • Vaccine manufacturing technologies
  • Antiviral and antimicrobial drug discovery
  • Novel drug targets and therapeutic strategies
  • Clinical trial outcomes
  • Advances in plasmid-based vectors and their biotechnological applications
  • Structure, synthesis, and function of biomolecules essential to the life cycles of prokaryotes and viruses
  • Bacterial mutations and antibiotic resistance

The COVID-19 pandemic and accelerating crisis of antimicrobial resistance have underscored the importance of microbiological research in public health. As infectious diseases continue to pose global challenges, international collaboration and free exchange of scientific knowledge are more critical than ever.

The mission of the MIR Journal is to provide global visibility for cutting-edge research in microbiology and foster a collaborative scientific community focused on combating infectious diseases and advancing biomedical innovation.

Scientists from 154 countries read papers published in MIR Journal (data from ScienceOpen website)
